Here in America I went to a Town Hall meeting years ago when they showed a dog from Germany the officer said one word in German and the dog barked his name was Nero he is trained for the same things your K-9s are but he was also used to sniff around a van until he got to the back door Nero stood there the Police Officers open the door and saw people from Mexico getting into the America illegally Nero sure knew what he was doing

This the UK's version of police K9. At 12:36, every case has been a lame duck. Absolutely no evidence of a dog finding or capturing anything or anybody. I'll stick with American K9s.

The demonstration of the blood sniffing dog was most unimpressive as the owner led the dog to a foot away from the sample. Now, on to the stories.

Just one thing for Officer Gibson like her Gibbs I think her name was she she needs to be wearing gloves to protect herself because even if it was something like fentanyl just for her to touch it, it can absorb thru her skin not to mention NOT sniffing it, use a test kit. Want to see these officers keep themselves safe because they are very very important to us and society and we appreciate them and we want them safe also.

Why don't the dogs get bullet proof protective gear? Especially the ones on firearms searches. Dogs here in the US are fitted out with protective gear and deserve it!

Pit bulls can be great pets, it's the owner that trains them that way, that make them bad. It's a shame they get the bad name when it's people who are bad. Like guns, it's not the gun that's bad it's the person pulling the trigger.

Pitbulls are actually not the most dangerous dogs. And it also depends on how a dog is raised. You can't put a blanket statement over an entire breed of dog. That's ridiculous. If you did actual research you'd be very surprised of what they consider to be the most dangerous breed. Not the pitbull.

I’m American, so we drive on the opposite side of the road. So when there are scenes of an officer who is riding as a passenger in the left front seat, yet turned around talking to a person with a camera in the back seat, I temporarily freak out for a second! I think. “OMG!!! He’d better look where he’s driving! They’re going to have a head on collision!!” LOL!! 😂

How dare the male cop says the breed should have died off. That dog is waging his tail. People thought the same thing about German Shepard. Try feeding the dog that they claim was “hungry”. These cops need to be better trained on pit bulls and stop with negative opinion.

Look at the slope of Otis' back. Then look at other shepherds. Not a well bred dog.

Seems like they should use the same test for each dog..although they could likely smell the trail of the last dog to do the test, so..I guess I retract that idea. Maybe use the same gun w the same amount of distractions in a different location..I’m teaching my GS pup the four basic AKC scents, he’s laying down to indicate already..now I’m working on elevating the scents out of the floor tubes and putting them in different locations..it’s fascinating to see them work out where stuff is, and their communication back to you to get their reward, food in my boy’s case..

So, a guy “hanging the dog up” on a tree to train for fighting, ppl are defending the “sweet pit bulls” in the comments. Ridiculous. These dogs have been bred and bred for aggression and fighting, they have no place in modern society.

I love how you share your daily jobs with us the public. However it’s sad how far the ignorance has gotten when relating to pitbulls. They are loyal, they are kind, they are protective and it’s like any other breed how you raise them to become. In this episode hearing an officer expressed herself about the breed makes her sound inhumane and pretty much idiotic as she doesn’t have the full background or knowledge on them. I am grateful for all your hard work, but makes me wonder how well you know breed. In the US we actually have pitbulls now working as K9. Maybe research a bit more before you make such ignorant comment about one breed. Seems more hateful than one that is educated.
